Bookkeeper

The Watermen, Inc bookkeeper is responsible for recording and maintaining Watermen’s financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and assisting with various accounting tasks. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy in all financial records. This is an onsite role.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record daily financial transactions in the general ledger
  • Verify and post transactions to appropriate accounts
  • Reconcile vendor and customer balances
  • Prepare and process accounts payable and receivable
  • Assist with payroll processing
  • Produce financial reports and statements (e.g., balance sheets, income statements)
  • Maintain accurate records for auditing purposes
  • Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting
  • Maintain and file monthly & quarterly sales tax reports
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulations
  • Monitor and report on cash flow
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Handle invoice generation and collections
  • Complete annual 1099 form

Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
  • 2-3 years of bookkeeping or relevant accounting experience
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist as needed with sales order data entry
  • Assist in developing and improving bookkeeping systems and procedures
  • During peak season and key off season time periods assist with customer service as needed
  • Coordinate with external auditors when necessary
  • Maintain organized financial records and filing systems
  • Communicate financial information to management and stakeholders
  • Stay updated on industry trends and changes in financial regulations

The Watermen, Inc customer service associate is a critical member of our team. Providing world class customer service is a key attribute of our company. We are seeking a dynamic Customer Service and Order Management Associate to join our growing team. This role combines traditional customer service responsibilities with direct-to-consumer order management, requiring a versatile and proactive individual.

This role is responsible for interacting with our DTC and B2B customers. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment. The ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple tasks efficiently with a high level of accuracy. This is an onsite role.

 

Key Responsibilities:

· Multi-Channel Customer Support: Handle customer inquiries and provide exceptional service across various platforms including phone, email, and chat.

· Process manual and custom work orders with high attention to detail.

· Manage direct-to-consumer orders from placement to delivery.

· Efficiently address and resolve customer concerns related to order tracking, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.

· Collaborate with warehouse operations, e-commerce, sales, and other departments to ensure smooth order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.

· Actively contribute to enhancing customer service processes and operational efficiency.

· Support multiple flows within the function (i.e.; phones, quotes, order processing, customer interaction, etc.)

· Resolve and respond to customer inquiries, tracking shipments, accounts receivable, accounts payable, etc

· General office tasks and assisting the warehouse when needed

· Gladly accepting any duty as assigned to assist with the company’s variety of needs

 

Qualifications & Skills:

· Proven experience in customer service, preferably in an e-commerce or direct-to-consumer environment.

· Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

· Must be a problem solver with excellent attention to detail and accuracy

· Great work ethic and desire for success and growth.

· Ability to work well with numbers and communicate well with all types of people. Must remain positive!

· Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail & accuracy.

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

· Proficiency in CRM & ERP systems.

· Adaptability to learn new systems and processes quickly.

· Problem-solving aptitude with a customer-centric approach.

· Willingness to take on tasks outside of customer service job to assist with the needs of a growing company.

· High energy and a consistently positive attitude.
