Original Watermen attends local Encinitas Street Fair with popular surf-inspired clothing line
ENCINITAS, CA – (November 15, 2011) – Original Watermen, a nationally recognized supplier for lifeguard professionals, is heading to the 21st Annual Encinitas Street Fair this Sunday, Nov. 20 for the second year in a row – new swag in tow.
After being swamped and getting rained out at the Carlsbad Street Fair on Nov. 6, Original Watermen is expecting an awesome turnout on Sunday. The Street Fair is located on Coast Highway 101, between D and J Streets. Check out Original Watermen near D Street – just look for the Watermen flags.
Original Watermen maintains close ties with the San Diego County community by attending several events and surf competitions throughout the year. The company sponsors the Carlsbad Surf Team and services the Encinitas Junior Lifeguards with their swimsuits, hoodies, hats, backpacks, and fins.
In January, Original Watermen is also heading to the 2012 Texas Public Pool Council (TPPC) Aquatic Conference in College Station, TX. TPPC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing information and education to aquatic professionals.
ABOUT ORIGINAL WATERMEN
Like so many great things in the ‘70s, Original Watermen started in the back of a VW bus. Surfer and lifeguard, Ken Miller and future wife Jen, began making and selling water trunks. The first customers were Carlsbad, CA locals and eventually the State of California lifeguards signed up for 36 red shorts. Since those early days, Original Watermen has evolved and grown, now outfitting over 1,900 organizations from local and state agency lifeguards and fire fighters to military Special Forces. Original Watermen, as a company, was created with a solitary vision: provide the best quality, fit, and performance in every garment.
