Original Watermen Donates Junior Lifeguard Gear to Crystal Cove Camp Outreach Program
Original Watermen, known for dedication to supplying junior lifeguard programs around the nation with appropriate gear, recently donated 70 navy shorts to the Crystal Cove Camp Outreach Program.
Ken Miller and the team at Original Watermen live by the "Earn Your Salt" motto in more ways than one, particularly when it comes to offering young people the chance to learn about swimming and surfing safety. The company continues to offer the very best in lifeguard gear, board shorts and other accessories and often makes donations to aquatic safety outreach programs like Camp Cove at Crystal Cove State Park. Recently, Ken and his team donated 70 pairs of board shorts to outfit students at the two one-week camps in August.
Benefitting at-risk children from urban Santa Ana, the one-week camps will consist of two separate groups of 50 students each ranging in age from 7 to 17. According to the Park's spokesperson, the program reached out to the company after seeing a press release on other donations made to similar youth-oriented groups. Camp participants earn the chance to be part of the program based on grades and other criteria.
